In 1998 Herring Construction Ltd was set up to compliment our plant hire company GCR Herring & Co which has traded for twenty years and has only recently transferred into Herring Plant Hire Ltd following the death of the senior partner in November. The two companies although separate entities epitomise good working relationships between the two companies workforce.

Our workforce are all fully trained and competent in their roles whether it be plant operators, joiners, site engineers or pipe layers.

We decided to start a Construction company when we were being constantly asked to price for contracts which were more than just plant and labour. As diverse as retail parks to effluent tanks, funeral parlours to link roads.

We are just as comfortable working inside I.C.I Wilton or on a residential housing estate, it is satisfaction of a job well done at the end of the day.

Being a family run business which ultimately means we are open all hours for business and the office is never closed we pride ourselves on our commitment to our customers. The wonders of mobile phones means there is always someone at the other end of the phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We are registered with the NHBC and have recently completed our very own design and build project from pouring of the foundations to handing over the property at completion.
